Roller Derby 101

Ready to jump into the amazing sport of Roller Derby with High Tide Derby? Our next 12-week RD 101 program starts March 19th with an assessment at the end to see how your skills have improved. It’s $150 paid in 2 $75 payments.

Practices are held on Mondays and Wednesdays 7:00pm-9:00pm at Chapman Sports Complex, 11700 Knott Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92841.

Requirements to join High Tide via RD101:

  • Have all of the gear listed on the Derby Player Checklist or make arrangements with High Tide to borrow what you need.

  • Complete Member Roster Form

  • Set up for the two $75 payments (once at sign up and 2nd after 6 weeks)

  • Be up-to-date on COVID vaccination

  • Get Connected (see below) to stay up-to-date on practices, events, social gatherings and more!

COVID-19 Guidelines:

We require everyone to be up-to-date on their vaccination from coronavirus and be able to provide proof in order to participate in practice and other league events. Must have received the most recent booster released in the Fall 2024.

Get Connected:

We use an app called Heja for practice/event attendance. We ask that you lock in your RSVP for the week by 6pm on Sunday so that coaches have time to plan. Click the link, download the app, & join High Tide Derby now!

Once you sign up, your Training Committee will share the full curriculum with you so that if you miss a practice, you know what to work on, on your own!
