Roller Derby 101 Bootcamp

Our 10-week Roller Derby 101 Bootcamp will teach you all the basics to get you rolling!

In this bootcamp, you will dive into the basics of roller derby with a focus on building a solid skating foundation. Learn the ABCs of safe skating and gain the confidence to cruise with ease. We're with you every step of the way!

With the help of our coaching staff, aided by our experienced High Tide skaters, you will develop the skills necessary for more advanced maneuvers down the road of your derby journey.

No prior experience necessary to participate

DATES & TIMES

March through May - Mondays and Wednesdays, 7-9PM
If you can’t make it to a practice, no problem! Our coaches will work with you based off of where you are at in your skills development.

COST

$100/10-weeks

LOCATION

All training sessions are held at the Chapman Sports Complex in Garden Grove

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Athletic Apparel (clothes you don’t mind getting sweaty)

  • Water Bottle

  • Roller Derby gear

    • Roller Derby Quad Skates

    • Helmet

    • Knee pads

    • Elbow pads

    • Wrist Guards

    • Mouth Guard

  • Completion of the roster form

Ever thought about playing roller derby but it sounds too rough or scary? Maybe you're not the best skater but you want to get better. Have you been looking to make more like-minded friends? Have you been taking a break from Roller Derby and want to slowly ease back into it with no pressure? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then High Tide Derby might be the right place for you!

We welcome all levels of skaters to come skate with us. Even if you have never skated before, our Fresh Meat coach SureBlock Holmes is there to teach you the basics.
