Are you ready to LEAP with grace and confidence? Join us on Wednesday, February 28th, 7:30pm at the Chapman Sports Complex in Garden Grove for High Tide Derby’s Recruitment Night. Learn more about our league and our practices, where you'll discover the joy of roller skating and build the skills to skate with style. Whether you're a newbie or looking to refine your skills, we provide expert coaching and a supportive community to help you succeed.

Here's what you can expect:

  • Meet our passionate team members and get an inside look at the world of roller derby.

  • Learn about our leagues’ culture, training programs, and the support we offer to help you succeed both on and off the track.

  • Connect with like-minded individuals who share your love for skating and camaraderie.

  • Bring your own skates and protective gear and lace up at the end of our session for an open free skate with the team!

March 2023 High Tide Derby Recruitment Night

2023 is here and we are itching to get back on the track after a very cold and rainy winter break!

High Tide Derby wants to welcome you to a community and family of like-minded folks! No skills required to join. We will teach you how to skate and how to play derby. We also welcome seasoned skaters!

During this event we will discuss what High Tide Derby is about, and how you can become a part of the roller derby community as a player, an official - on or off skates, or as a volunteer.
We will be presenting information on the gear you will need, introducing the basics of the sport, and current league members will be available for a Q & A.

Adult League presentation 7:30-8pm
Free skate 8-8:45 pm! Bring your own skates and gear.

Ever thought about playing roller derby but it sounds too rough or scary? Maybe you're not the best skater but you want to get better. Have you been looking to make more like-minded friends? Have you been taking a break from Roller Derby and want to slowly ease back into it with no pressure? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then High Tide Derby might be the right place for you!

We welcome all levels of skaters to come skate with us. Even if you have never skated before, our Fresh Meat coach SureBlock Holmes is there to teach you the basics.
